The Beginning

 

So, what the hell is he doing? You might ask....well, I'm commiting myself to getting this fat ass in shape. That's right, I'm going to ad some structure to my life....I'm going to compete in the 2006 Heavyweights Classic, and I'm going to track all my progress on my site with pics and updates every 2-3 weeks....A body building buddy of mine, Lee Hayward is gonna give me some instruction....not going for the win...but it's a good goal to set...and just to compete would be a great bit of fun. And by tracking it on my site I will be more committed to achieve that goal. Check out the links page to visit some local body building websites. So....lets start with day one.....The Decision.

The Decision 29 weeks, 5 days out from HWC '06

It's 11:08pm on April 23rd 2006, and I'm just getting ready to take the first set of pics. These are the "motivational shots". My diet consists of everything but good food and booze.

Body Weight: 215 lbs

The Goal: 170 lbs

So I weighed in today at 201 lbs. I've lost 14 lbs since i started. I haven't cut out all junk from my diet, only some, but I've been eating smaller portions of food. I cut down on the drinking which I'm sure helps. I drink diet pepsi when I want some soda. Oddly enough (trying to do a bb show) I haven't been going to the gym (as you can tell by the pics). I've been doing lots of jogging and being more active outside. Things like hiking and camping seem to keep me interested.

This month I will still not be going to the gym. I'll be doing more exercises like pushups, situps, dips and chin ups. The HWC Show has been changed from November 18th 2006 to November 25th 2006. My goal is to have 30 solid pounds gone by July 23rd. My goal is still 170 lbs for the show. I will start strick dieting about 3 to 3 1/2 months out from the show.

Bodyweight: 201 lbs

Total weight lost since Apr. 23rd: 14lbs

Short Term Goal, July 23rd: 185 lbs 

The Goal: 170 lbs by November 18th

Month 2:

Well, I kinda slacked this month, but I still managed to loose 4 lbs. So, I will continue to clean up my diet, continue to jog 3-4 times a week, push ups, sit ups, chin ups.

Bodyweight: 197 lbs

Total weight lost since Apr. 23rd: 18 lbs

Short Term Goal, July 23rd: 185 lbs

The Goal: 170 lbs by November 18th
